ITINERARY

DAY 1:  KUALA LUMPUR – ISTANBUL (11H10M) (MOB/-/-)

DAY 2: ISTANBUL – ANKARA (460KM, 5H) – CAPPADOCIA (283KM, 5H) (B/L/D)

  • Ataturk Mausoleum – Is the mausoleum of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the leader of the Turkish War of Independence and the founder and first President of the Republic of Turkey.

DAY 3: CAPPADOCIA (B/L/D)

  • ​Pigeon Valley – Name comes from thousands of pigeon houses that have been carved into the soft tuff since ancient times. In Cappadocia, pigeons have long been a source of food and fertilizer. The advent of chemical fertilizers has reduced the use of pigeon dung.
  • Pasabag Valley – Highly remarkable earth pillars can be seen here, in the middle of a vineyard, hence the name of the place which means: the Pacha’s vineyard. Pacha means “General”, the military rank, in Turkish and it is a very common nick name. This site is also called Monks Valley. The name was derived from some cones carved in tuff stones which stand apart.
  • Devrent Valley – Is different from others in the areas, because it does not have the rock churches that are in abundance in places like Ihlara valley. Instead it is more famous for the land which resembles a lunar landscape. Situated a short drive from Goreme, the valley still has the characteristics of the fairies chimneys and combined with the rocks of the lunar landscape that do actually look like animals, it provides a wonderful backdrop for the perfect holiday picture
  • Uchisar ‘Castle’ Village – Uchisar is very hilly and those with walking difficulties will find problems on steep streets and hills. From the top of Uchisar is the castle and one of the most magnificent views of the landscape.
  • Avanos Pottery Village – The small town of Avanos in Cappadocia is famous for its distinctive red earthenware pottery. Situated on the banks of the longest river in Turkey, the Kizilirmak (Red River), the loverly old town overlooks the red silt of the river which has been both the lifeblood and the destiny of Avanos.

DAY 4:  CAPPADOCIA – KONYA (242KM, 4H15) – PAMUKKALE (405KM, 6H45M) (B/L/D)

  • ​Tepesidelikhan Ancient Caravanserai – It was a roadside inn where travelers could rest and recover from the day’s journey. Caravanserais supported the flow of commerce, information, and people across the network of trade routes covering Asia, North Africa, and southeastern Europe, especially along the Silk Road.
  • Underground City of Serhatli – Once a place of refuge for 15000 Christians. Witness the ancient bedrooms, church, meeting hall and food storage rooms in this eight-storey city connected by 30km of corridors and passageways.

DAY 5: PAMUKKALE – KUSADASI (183KM, 3H20M) (B/L/D)

  • ​Ancient City of Hierapolis – Hierapolis is an ancient city located on the top of Pamukkale and is a World Heritage site. There is a mixture of Pagan, Roman, Jewish and early Christian influences. Since the hot springs of Pamukkale were used as a spa since the 2nd century, people came to Hierapolis to soothe their ailments and often retire and die.
  • Cotton Castle – Pamukkale means cotton castle in Turkish and the name is fitting for this geological wonder where mineral rich waters tumble down the hillside leaving a gleaming white terrain that looks like frosting on a cake melting in the sun.
  • Selcuk – The pretty town Selcuk is famous with its being a fascinating mixture of all historical periods. This strategic location of Selcuk has provided to be a popular place to settle down during the centuries. The name ‘Selcuk’ come from the Turkish tribes settled in the region by the 12th century.
  • Ephesus Ancient City – One of the greatest of the Ionian cities, it became the leading seaport of the region. Its wealth was proverbial. The Greek city was near an old center of worship of a native nature goddess, who was equated with the Greek Artemis.

DAY 6: KUSADASI – PERGAMON (194KM, 3H30M) – CANAKKALE (214KM, 4H) (B/L/D)

  • ​TrojanHorse – Will be greeted by the huge replica of a wooden Trojan horse, it is a vivid reminder of the ancient Trojan War.

DAY 7: CANAKKALE – ISTANBUL (510KM, 8H) (B/L/D)

  • ​Blue Mosque – Also known as Mosque of Sultan Ahmet, which boasts a unique feature of 6 minarets. View its glorious interiors and distinctive blue tiles.
  • Hippodrome of Constantinople – Was a circus that was the sporting and social centre of Constantinople, capital of the Byzantine Empire.
  • St.Sophia Church – Is a former Eastern Orthodox Church converted to a mosque and must see attraction because of its religious and architectural significance.
  • Topkapi Palace – is a large palace in Istanbul, Turkey, that was the primary residence of the Ottoman sultans for approximately 400 years (1465-1856) of their 624- year reign.

DAY 8: ISTANBUL – ALMATY (B/-/-)

  • ​Free at Leisure until departure to Almaty

DAY 9: ALMATY – KUALA LUMPUR
